Conduit Manager Updater 1.01

This software updater resolves problems with backup and restore of certain
(non-core PalmPilot applications) PalmPilot files. The Conduit Manager 1.01
now allows for complete backup and restore of database data, including
standard ROM applications such as Expense, Giraffe, as well as 3rd party
database files.

1. Copy the file 'Conduit Manager Updater' to your hard drive from the diskette, or
download it from the Palm Computing Web site (see information below).
2. Double-click on 'Conduit Manager Updater'.
3. Select the found Conduit Manager file in the list. NOTE: Make sure you do not
have multiple Conduit Manager files on your start up disk.
4. Click Update.
5. When the file has been updated, click OK.
6. Click Quit.
Your Conduit Manager file has now been updated to version 1.01.
2. Known Problem
-------------------------
The PilotMoney conduit is not compatible with the Macintosh Pilot Desktop
software at this time. If you have PilotMoney installed on your PalmPilot,
problems will occur when you attempt to restore your PalmPilot after a 'hard'
reset:
With PilotMoney installed, when you attempt to restore (first HotSync after
a hard reset), your PalmPilot Desktop application will quit and HotSync will
be disabled. This means that PilotMoney data will not be restored to your
PalmPilot.
In order to avoid quitting Pilot Desktop and disabling HotSync, make sure to
remove the MoneyDB.PDB file located in your Backup folder before restoring
your data after a hard reset.
Please check with the developer of PilotMoney for any update that might fix
this problem.

Note: The technical support numbers included in your PalmPilot Address Book
are not correct. PalmPilot users are strongly recommended to use the Fax on
Demand service provided by 3Com. Dial the 800 number listed below and use
your phone keypad to select a topic you want more information about. After
entering your fax number, the Fax on Demand service faxes information directly
